Courses are taught by award-winning writers in each genre who have taught at the university level and have experience editing literary magazines.
Vivian Hu
Vivian Hu is a fiction writer whose writing has appeared in The Paris Review, The Drift, A Public Space, Narrative Magazine, and elsewhere. She was most recently a National Endowment for the Arts Fellow in prose and the Philip Roth Writer in Residence at Bucknell University. She has received additional fellowships from Yaddo, the Hawthornden Foundation, and Cornell University, where she taught as a Lecturer in Creative Writing and served as assistant editor of EPOCH literary magazine. Vivian received her BA from Princeton and her MFA in Creative Writing from Cornell University
Hua Xi
Hua Xi is a writer and poet. Her poems and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The Nation, The New Republic, The Yale Review, Hyperallergic and elsewhere. She previously won the Oxford Poetry Contest, the Boston Review Poetry Contest, the Eavan Boland Emerging Poet Award from Poetry Ireland, the Poet-to-Come Award by the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association, an NEA Fellowship and other awards. She has worked on the staff of The Wall Street Journal, Guernica andThe Drift.
